Our Philosophy
At BeAlere, we believe that childhood is a journey of discovery, wonder, and connection.
Our philosophy is deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, an internationally respected educational philosophy that sees students as capable learners. It prioritises connection to nature, materials and people in our community, and also promotes hands-on experimental learning.
At BeAlere, we have crafted our selection of services honouring these principles. To allow children to engage with real-world materials, open-ended resources, sensory experiences, and natural environments.
In our sessions we intentionally provide opportunities for children to slow down, get messy, ask questions, experiment, and engage in meaningful play. Whether we do this in playgroups, tutoring sessions, holiday camps or in nature play sessions. exploring loose parts, creating with natural materials, participating in sensory experiences, or investigating the wonders of the outdoor environment, children are encouraged to become active participants in their own learning journey.
Research in neuroscience and child development continues to highlight the importance of hands-on learning during the early years. In an increasingly digital world, we are passionate about reconnecting children with authentic experiences. Studies also consistently demonstrate that nature plays a particularly important role in our work as educators. In natural environments we invite children to observe, investigate, imagine, and connect with the world in ways that no screen can replicate.
We also recognise that learning happens within relationships. Families, educators, and communities all play an essential role in supporting children's growth and development. Through our workshops, consultancy services, and learning experiences, we strive to build meaningful partnerships that celebrate the unique potential of every child.
BeAlere exists to nurture curious minds, creative thinkers, confident learners, and connected communities—one meaningful experience at a time

Child- led learning
Children are capable, competent, and curious learners. We encourage them to investigate, question, create, and construct their own understanding of the world through meaningful experiences and relationships.
Based on connection
Central to the Reggio Emilia philosophy is the belief that children learn through connection—with people, with nature, with materials, and with their communities.
Experimental learning
When children manipulate natural materials, build, create, explore, and engage their senses, they activate multiple areas of the brain simultaneously, strengthening neural pathways that support creativity, problem-solving, language development, emotional regulation, and executive functioning.
Connected to nature
Time spent outdoors supports children's physical wellbeing, reduces stress, enhances attention and concentration, encourages risk assessment and resilience, and promotes deeper levels of curiosity and engagement.
